Towards the end of writing the book I realized there was more potential than I initially thought.
Creating further in depth explanations and citations
I’ve always wanted to delve further into each reference at the back of the book. However, it was only as I came closer to the completion of A Wild Society that I realized how much I would need to rely on online references to do justice to the topics I’d written about.
Creating awildsociety.com to further educate readers
As I started to curate the end of A Wild Society, I realized that there were two main hurdles to overcome: links to references and resources must always be up-to-date, and recommendations for further reading should stay current with the latest and most interesting research and discoveries. I found that the only reliable way to keep links up-to-date was by creating an accompanying online resource. This is why I will be creating awildsociety.com. This website will ensure that I can keep the references at the back of the book up-to-date as time goes on.
When will the book be published?
The downside to creating this online resource is that the official publishing of the A Wild Society will be delayed until the informational section at the end of the book is done and the accompanying website is complete.
